As an animator, I have been keeping a keen eye on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The production of the show inspires me greatly, from the stories, commentary on moral values, character interactions, fluid animation, and fun music to the entirely new, whimsical yet stream-lined design by Lauren Faust. It’s a properly stimulating redesign of the whole series. The show has made a cultural breakthrough by being absolutely relatable on many different levels, no matter the age or gender of the viewer.
